The protection of personal data and the right to self-determination of information are important concerns for Westfalia-Automotive GmbH.

As a leading component supplier of the automobile industry we process data of customers, business partners and interested parties in the whole world. These must be able to rely on the fact that the data handed over to us are treated confidentially and are only used by employees who are authorised to do this.


Legal stipulations:

Westfalia-Automotive GmbH undertakes to strictly comply with the national and international laws and regulations for the safeguarding of the right to self-determination of information. When collecting, storing and processing personal data we comply with the European regulations concerning data protection law and the thus ensuing national provisions. As a company with the registered seat in Germany above all the Federal Data Protection Act, the Telecommunication Act and the Telemedia Act apply to us.



We only process personal data on a contractual basis, with the consent of the person concerned or owing to statutory provisions. When collecting, storing and using personal data we comply with the principles of data economy and the specified purpose. We guarantee the rights of the person concerned to information and correction.


Collection and processing of personal data:

When visiting our websites we automatically store the name of your Internet Service Provider, the website, from where you visit us, the websites, which you visit with our company, the IP address allocated by your provider as well as the date and the duration of the visit. This information can be evaluated by us anonymised. Further personal data are only collected and stored if you explicitly permit us to do this.


Use and forwarding of personal data:

Your personal data will only be used for the purpose for which you voluntarily provided these data to us. Our employees and service providers are obligated to strict confidentiality by us. Your data will not be sold or made available in any other manner to third parties outside of Westfalia-Automotive GmbH. Transmissions to state institutions and authorities are only carried out within the scope of mandatory national legal regulations.



In several areas of our online offer we use so-called “cookies” in order facilitate the use of our sites for you and to adjust these in line with your needs. E-mail marketing (mailings):

In order to cater for your wishes and interests to an optimum extent you e-mail address will be used by Westfalia-Automotive GmbH to address you with advertising. With the Newsletter of Westfalia-Automotive GmbH and further mailings we will inform you about us and our offers.

If you would like to receive mailings we need a valid e-mail address from you as well as a confirmation that you are the holder of the stated e-mail address and agree to receive the mailings. Shortly after sending your mailing order you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us; only when you click on the link for the confirmation contained therein will your address be included in the distribution list and you will automatically receive the incoming mailings (so-called Double-opt-in procedure).

With the order of the mailings the IP address will be stored at the time of the registration and confirmation in order to be able to prove the registration in case of doubt. In order to optimise the e-mail communication in the long-term, we evaluate the use-related conduct in a statistically prepared form so that no conclusion is possible about individual recipients.

Participation in competitions: 

By the participation in competitions the participant explicitly declares that he agrees that Westfalia-Automotive GmbH will store the data that are necessary for this purpose for the period of the competition and additionally for carrying out the competition. The participants further agree that in the event that you win your full name will be published on the participating websites. There is no claim for publication. The data collected during the competition will additionally and exclusively be used by Westfalia-Automotive GmbH for product advertising in the extent that is admissible by law. These will not be forwarded to third parties.


Enquiries by using the contact forms:

At various locations of our websites we offer the visitors the possibility under “Contact” to send us enquiries, associated with our products. By clicking the “Send” button you agree to the collection, processing and use of your data. The data will be processed, stored and used for processing your enquiry as well as with enquiries from the business environment (B2B) for advertising purpose insofar as this is permitted without consent. You can object to this use with the contact details stated above at all times. After the processing of your enquiry the data of consumers will be deleted in our company.
