TEST BOX

When a towbar and electrics have been fitted to a vehicle you can plug the test box into the towbar socket to check that the caravan or trailer lights work correctly. This can be done in the workshop. When the customer takes the vehicle home and plugs their caravan or trailer into the vehicle you will know that the lights will work correctly.

The switches on the box enable you to break the circuit to the light to simulate a bulb failure. If the correct vehicle specific kit has been fitted, and not a bypass unit, then in most cases this will give a text or a bulb failure warning on the dashboard of the towing vehicle.
